Thankfully, we had the assistance of several truck drivers and their awesome monster trucks. Long enough to carry a K4, these trucks could transport at least 6-7 boats at a go. Because shifting our canoes and kayaks was a time-consuming process, we were kindly excused from lessons from recess onwards for 2 days ( YES! ), a pity indeed.
On the second day, I was given the privelage of sitting in one of the trucks which was heading towards Bedok. I soon found out that it was torture, sitting in between two people who could not communicate with each other, Coach and the Indian driver. It was both an amusing and a frustrating experience, the driver got really pissed with coach because not only was he already late, coach kept giving him the wrong directions.
Most of the wax which we had just applied on our canoes and kayaks also came off during the journey, because of the numerous U-turns he had to make, and the speed which he was going at just made worse. But who needs wax when we know we are good? Godspeed!
