Another day with Joshua, Brandon and I

YEAH! Exams are over, and that also means its time for training. This happened last Thursday I think. Because it was a marking day, right after our exams, we had training in the afternoon. Brandon, Joshua and I had planned to meet at S11 to eat lunch before we went for training, and it was a mistake for me to suggest to meet at 11.45 am even though our training started at 3pm. So after eating, we had NOTHING to do.
We went to buy bubble tea, hoping that by sitting and drinking our bubble tea, we could pass our time, but it failed because a cup of bubble tea only lasts for about 10 mins, should have seen that coming. We were so bored, we even followed Brandon to the library because he had wanted to borrow a cookbook. Eventually we got bored of that too.
Joshua then suggested that we go to Macritchie 1st then decide what to do from there, and Brandon and I agreed. So we did. But, Joshua asked us if we wanted to walk to Macritchie, and knowing Brandon, who takes everything seriously, even the most silly ones, agreed. So we immediately set off. It took about 45 mins to reach Macritchie, about 3km walk.
By the time we reached Macritchie, we were already quite tired from all the walking. But it was only 12.30pm by then, and we could not think of anything else to do, but to walk MORE. Joshua suggested that we walked the "Good-Morning" route which the canoeists usually run in morning trainings, but I do not know how that turned into walking to the tree-top walk in Macritchie. Anyway, Brandon once again agreed with much enthusiasm, so we set off again.
The walk was about 10-11km long, so the story is naturally going to be as long. So to cut long story short, we had LOTS of fun. We braved harsh winds and rain which landed on our skin like needles, encountered many groups of dangerous army officials, crawled our way across a structurally weak bridge 1000m from the ground ( SPLAT ), and cars which almost crushed us like road-kill. OK thats all exaggerated, but we really did encounter all of those, only about 1/10 the danger.
Overall, it was truly an enriching experience for us, and a tiring one too, walking 14000m isn't something easy you know. Luckily for the three of us, though the walk only ended at about 4pm, an hour pass training, we did not miss a single thing because ofo lightning alert. Plus, we not only exercised, but also strengthened our friendship. We hope that next time more people can join us too!
