I feel like crap. My parents really want me to go NJ, and I don't know what to do. I feel very confused, and I don't know if i can convince them otherwise.
But, I don't want to leave you guys. Your like my brothers, and I can't imagine having to leave the canoeing team. The days we spent, were like the best days of my life, and I can still remember all the stuff we've done together. We fought together, faced every problem as a team, and progressed together, and we won the title together.
I spent so much time with you guys, and I honestly think that you guys are the best people in the world. If I want to row, I want to row for SJI, not some stupid poaching school, and I want to train under Jiaolian, not under Mr Yong.
My parents tell me I can make new friends. But what if I don't want to make new friends. I like things just the way they are. My life is great as it is. I want to row with you guys again... Feel the pain as we work our way towards another title, and really win back the B'div title. Of course I don't want to go, let alone compete AGAINST you.
I don't know whats gonna happen in the end. But guys, I just want you to know that I will fight to stay, because in the end, its not even about SJI canoeing anymore, its about our friendship.

ReplyDeleteJust want to say, Peter, I am sure I am not alone when I say, what NJC cannot offer is your previously fond memories, among many intangible rewards, money also cannot buy.
Most importantly, I am sure it was the SJI boys who cheered you on to cross the finishing line and not people from NJC.
We hope your parents accept your decision too.
