The finals!

We fought, we tried our best, and it paid off. We did it. The C'div title is ours once again.

The day was a hell of a day. First up was me with my k1 1000m race. I knew from the start that I had to push the whole race, and i can still hear the "123... Go SJI" in my head, but in the end i managed to secure a gold. Then it was the captains race, the K2 1000m race. Tim and Josh were charging down the lane, but despite that, they missed the elusive gold by just bit, which was taken by the temasek twins. There was a lunch break, and we hurriedly gulped down tubs of yummy porridge bought by Sec 4 Jon's parents. Thanks Jon! My K1 500m race was next, and it was a real close fight! I did what Jiaolian had told me to, and got an early lead, but I was hard-pressed to maintain it. But in the end it was my second 1st! Brandon's T1 race was up, and damn it was scary to seem him neck and neck with all the competitors, but he perservered, powered-up, and took the gold! He hurriedly went back to shore, and got a good massage by the team of Jiaolian, Mr Lim and Mr Fong, and he was off for his T2 race with Joshua. In the meantime, the k4 guys did us proud by clinching the silver just inches behind ACS. They were a bit demoralised, but Shaun and Gabriel, who had another race, managed to pull themselves together. Don't worry guys! There's always next year. Josh and Brandon clinched an easy win, by pulling ahead of all the others. Yet another gold! Faiz's race was a repeat of NJCC, and he once again gave a spectacular finish and clinched us yet another gold! Benji came in soon after, but despite being last, we all are proud of him for pushing to the end. He still had another race, and had to conserve. The C2's really tried their best, and despite being bested by HCI, we still managed to clinch the 3rd place through Benji and David. They were the hot favourites, but David's illness got the better of him this time. Yang Zhi and Daryl came in last, but who cares! They gave their all and that is all that matters. Shaun and Gabriel almost managed to pull of another medal steal, but they lost out a teensy bit to the ACS boat.

The C'div title was our at last! After a whole year of hard work, we finally did it! Then we celebrated!
