Next stop was of course lunch, which some of us enjoyed at Subway while some decided to stick to the food court. I shared a sandwich with Jonathan, which made the meal much cheaper. After lunch, we went to E-hub's Fairprice to shop for our BBQ food. We bought so much frozen food and soft drinks, that we had to actually buy a styrofoam box and ice to keep the food and drinks cold.
After reaching the Pasir Ris Park, we had to find a way to pass our time before we could actually start the BBQ. So James decided to buy a kite to fly, which in the end, turned out to be really fun! It was so fun, even the sec 3 seniors bought a kite of there own to fly. Yang Zhi and Faiz decided to rent bikes instead.
At 4pm, it was finally time to start our BBQ. Brandon and Shaun had a hard time trying to find the BBQ spot, because they could only make it for the BBQ. We also took a long time to actually start a fire, because whenever we started one, the wind which helped us fly the kite, decided to turn against us and blow the fire out. Newspaper and tissue papers were thrown inside to help the fire continue burning and finally after about an hour we succeeded.
We cooked hotdogs, chicken wings, fish ( which turned out to be a complete failure because its organs exploded after it coooked to long ), beef, and after everything, even marsmallows! It was really fun and we stayed till about 9pm before we headed home. I really look forward to the next BBQ next year, and maybe this time we can book a chalet!
