Thursday, Beancurd Day

Ah! Right after training, David, Peter, Brandon, Yang Zhi and I decided to go to Novena to have lunch together. Before eating lunch though, everybody, except myself, went to Cold Storage to buy yogurt. Brandon and David gobbled everything up in one go. Too bad i don't have a pic on that. Eating lunch was quite boring though. So lets skip to the part when we enjoyed our donuts from Donut factory. Brandon ate his Double Chocolate Donut like a little kid, smudging choclate al over his cheeks. I can't believe Yang Zhi only ate ONE donut. Nobody can do that! After we finished, Brandon helped us get a stack of tissues. And I mean a stack. Now for sweet, sweet beancurd! Or "dao hui" as we singaporeans call it. David, unfortunatley had to rush home, so sad. We have been to the Beancurd shop before, Rochor Beancurd House. It is in Balestier though. Peter was originally the one who introduced it to us. Trust me, the dao hui there is the best there is! The syrup is sweet, and mixed with the smooth textured bean curd, its the best combination. Ha, I actually can become a food critic, if only I wasn't do picky when choosing food. Here is what we ordered. Yang Zhi ordered a bowl of beancurd and a cup of black jelly drink. Peter just drank soybean milk and Brandon and I just ate the all so famous beancurd. The previous time we came, Peter made a big mess when trying to jab his straw in the soybean milk cup. Fortunately, he sure did learn his lesson this time.
